Hammer Portal Room Empty
PostSubject: Hammer Portal Room   Hammer Portal Room Icon_minitimeSat Oct 22, 2011 10:33 pm

(Our OCs step out of the black van to be greeted by a man, obviousily civilian (By those of whom would notice him). By this point in time, the fact that fictional characters are here is being celebrated, being all the new things they bring. That being said, the wise few in the world believe that this mysterious event only brings incentive for a new war, encompassing the entire world. Even worse, a reccent attack by King Cobra on the Pentagon(Yes, he's actually competent here! Gasp.) has brought a lot of negative attention on Pro-Fictional character supporters. However, that being said, outside of politics, the world generally celebrates the arrival of such beings. For now. Its only a matter of time before some city destroying idiot villan well.....does what he does best. The man is waiting impatiently, and seems to be fairly fit. Describe him as you like; also, the portal is in the house. Our handler OCs know nothing about this trip, nor does anyone else. One can assume its "off the record". Behind him stands a seemingly normal civilian old manor home, run down, with a slight victorian era feel. Some windows are broken, and a few unmarked men enter and leave. The main focus, as we can see through the windows, is the basement. Lots of equipment is being moved to and from, and a few workers can be over heard talking about how they've been here for about five days, maybe more.)

The Quarian was still a bit nervous in these wide open environments all the time. She wasn't used to always having this much room or freedom to do as she liked, or even nature at that. She spent most of her time on ships even as an exile when she was in her own fiction. Now she was in this world with so much room and freedom. It still manages to awe her and yet cause that little nervous twinge that something beyond the obvious wasn't right. Now that she was outside the van though, the sunlight glinting off of her visor and the many sparky bits on her suit. She took in trees and and the hills as they seemed to roll across the land. It was a green beauty, in contrast to the old manor behind the man. It was beginning to show signs of decay and more than a few of the windows needed replacement. Lia was jarred from her thoughts as one of the men dropped a large box on his foot and started shouting curses.

Leon stood with his hands in his pockets, the cold European air whipping him in the face, just like Spain. Which made sense considering that Spain was a country in Europe...or the fact that London was known for it's fog of smog and fumes. The Agent's hands dug deeper into the pockets of his leather jacket, which wasn't his original one but a close enough replication that he wasn't complaining, his various pieces of equipment in place and readied. He wondered if this trip had something to do with the strange individuals that had attacked the others, and possibly Albert Wesker...the Agent being more than happy to put a bullet through the bastard's skull. Not that a single bullet would seemingly do, especially when the Agent had no idea which virus Wesker had access to and what other allies he might have.

~

Two-tons of armor and assorted weaponry was rather difficult to fit into your run-of-the-mill Eurovan, so the Spartan and Agent Hurrst were getting a ride from a seperate vehicle, though Hurrst was rather happy for the fact, since he finally got his dream Hummer that his wife never allowed and his boss had called too obvious for covert affairs. Covert affairs be damned, he was driving a goddamn Hummer!

Six clutched the MA37 ICWS with one hand whilst steadying himself in the rear of the Hummer with his other. The Agent by the name of Hurrst seemed to drive a bit dangerously and aggressively, kinda like Kat he had to admit. The rear cargo area of the Hummer wasn't exactly outfitted for holding passengers with it's simple flat metal surface and the occasional hook for the strapping of cargo down with ratchet-straps and rope, and they didn't exactly give the Spartan too much purchase to prevent his sliding around a bit.

Sheppard stood, leaning against the side of the van. In his hands, his P90 faced the floor at a rough forty-five degree angle, leaving him ready to fire, but looking casual. He was now wearing a plain black baseball cap and a pair of aviator shades, as if to make himself look more mysterious.

He withdrew the mobile phone from his pocket. Two messages? One regarded a low internet allowance, the other promoting a competition to win tickets to see some person who's name Sheppard couldn't pronounce. He deleted the messages, both from the company '3', and returned the phone to his pocket.

Aya leaned up against the black van, her jean jacket hiding a white T-Shirt under. She had fingerless gloves on, and basic blue jeans, and she was of course, not armed. There was certainly something going on, and bbeing genre savvy, it would probably be something big. It looked like the government wanted to see what they could do in action, or were using them in some, other, worse(Or better?) way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Servant class Saber kept a fair distance from the group, facing away from them, acting as a de facto sentry. She was wearing a all black suit, pants, shoes, and sunglassses included. She also had black gloves on, making it so that her face held the only visible skin on her body. She scanned the buildings more out of boredem then neccesity, and wasn't particulary trying to spot anything.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pepsi stood at the back of the bus, wearing a all blue dress, and black shoes. Mysteriousily, and weirdly, her hair color had changed to a charcoal black. However, her violet eyes were unchanged, as she stood smiling, looking at nothing or no one in particular.

Malachi looked at pepsi quizzically, "did you change your hair?" He asked her, before stepping out of the van to follow lia. He looked at the house, it reminded him of the shambling remains of Innsmouth... he was starting to miss the old fishing village. His magnum was strapped to his hip, as was his Necronomicon attached to his belt. The tome was bound in human flesh and written in blood. sign's were stitched into the cover much like the ones carved into his magnum. He turned to lia, "I think its rather homey, dont you?" He chuckled.

Andrew crossed his arms, standing a little ways away from the Van. He wore his 'Recon Armor'. The undersuit to the T-45d Power Armor; minus the headpiece. The Recon Armor went on underneath the T-45d, due to the model's heat management problem. And to make the suit more comfortable, and link the servo-motors. Even without the bulk of the Power Armor, the Recon Armor still weighed 15 pounds. Even then, it was very flexible and could protect him better than the standard armor of this world's militaries.

The Knight looked up at the building in front of him. It was big, and rundown. Reminded him of the one in Point Lookout more than the other one. Hell, all it needed was a crazy-ass Ghoul and an army of charging, half-drooling Tribals and it'd be just like home.

---

James opened the door for the passenger side of the Van, stepping out and closing it behind him. He wore MARPAT Camo BDU's, and wore a Kevlar/Tactical Vest and a Kevlar Helmet with Military-Issue Goggles covered in their wrap. He had a pair of (currently unneeded) sunglasses tucked into his collar.

In his hands was an M4A1 Carbine with an E0Tech Holographic Sight and PEQ-12, and a hand-grip. On his hip was his MEU[SOC], and his vest was loaded with several magazines of ammunition. Mostly consisting of 5.56 Ball Point Rounds. He stepped over to Sheppard, his tan combat boots crunching into gravel. "Alright, I say it's time we get these guys inside." James put in, looking over at the rest of the Van's occupants. He'd been given all of his equipment to help keep the rest of these people docile during the ride. Of course he didn't wear it on the plane ride. He'd managed to get it past security with the right papers.

Lia looked at the manor and realized how much like her ship it had been, and before that, those in the flotilla. It like all the ships she had been in before it, was in need of repair here and there, but that just seemed to remind her more of where she had come from, which was both a blessing and a curse. She was hated for who she was, but in turn, she had at least a few people willing to lend her a sympathetic ear. She also did not rely on any government for food, but instead bought it for herself. That aside, she couldn't help but think of where she had been before and how she had loved it so until she was brought from fiction and into life.
"It sort of does remind me of home. It always was run down and in need of a few repairs, but it was home." Behind her mask a smile spread across her face.

"I would like to welcome you all. However, we do not have time to talk here. We are sending you on a little trip. We can brief you once you're there. Now, do not be alarmed. What is inside the basement is a simple, safe, and secure portal. We've managed to maintain it this long, at least, for now. Now, we need to move. It only opens one hour, of one week." The man turned around, not waiting to see if the crowd behind him would follow. They were required to all sign release papers to their organization before they could even leave prison. They worked for them now, in all manners of speaking.

Malachi smiled, "Sounds like my hometown. Half of the place is borded up or run down houses... since most of us live in the water, except for the young'ns and some of the others. The place is very unkept... Though i take pride in defending my home. Wonder if they miss me there?" He was handed some papers to sign, some bullshit about working for them. He reluctantly signed his name. He hummed to himself, "On paris island.. we held the coast line, they held the high lands, and they were sharp, as sharp as knifes..."

"Alright everyone, get off your asses and follow the man inside." James ordered, shifting so he would be to the side of the path that the crowd would follow, facing them. He waved them to follow, his goves covering his hands as the Marine returned his hand to the grip on his M4. Keeping a keen eye in case anyone tried anything.

---

Andrew followed the man who was speaking towards the building. His Recon Armor not making a single noise as he walked. He was already a very quiet person, but the Recon Armor, despite not really being 'armor', gave the perfect blend of stealth and protection from his universe. Seeing as how it could take several small caliber rounds, and was flexible enough he could probably scale the building in front of him without making a peep.

"A portal?" The Lone Wanderer asked out loud. They had a lot of technology where he came from, everything from Gauss Rifles to Teleporters. But he'd never seen a portal before...

Then again, he really didn't know if that Alien Mothership had any portals. He'd given over the thing to the Brotherhood of Steel, further increasing their air superiority if the Enclave came back. He'd like to see a Vertibird out-fight one of those Alien Snub-Fighters. Or a Chinese Xi-78 go against one.

The man waited impatiently at the basement, a few armed mercenaries next to him. Mostly for show; the REAL failsafes were quite invisible. Next to him, back packs(One for each person) lay, all a forest camo color. They weren't very filled, and they were of course, closed. In his hand, what appeared to be a very small, rectangular box with a gray color scheme to it. It had a little area to be opened, though it wasn't currently.

Andrew stepped inside the basement, unimpressed by the Mercenaries. He could kill them if he needed, or wanted to. In fact, he began to plot several plans of escape and defense if needed. The Marine who escorted them in would present a slight problem, but Andrew had years of experience and training on him.

The Lone Wanderer took the initiative, slipping one of the packs onto his back. But he remained silent, waiting for what was to come.

---

James followed up the rear of the group, watching them as they were led into the basement. He had no idea what was about to happen, but he didn't particuarlly like the guy who was bossing them around. Seemed like he had a pole shoved up his ass.

The Marine stepped around the crowd, lifting one of the packs up and opening it look in it's contents. It was a forest camoflauge, different from his Woodland MARPAT he was wearing at the moment. But it'd do.

Malachi followed Lia closely and looked at james, He grinned at him, his yellow shark like teeth bared at the marine. He wondered where pepsi had run off to, or if she was following them. He looked around in the basement and took two of the backpacks, he handed one to Lia and put the other one on.

"This is quite simple. Inside these boxes are capsules. You press the button on the top of the capsule, you throw it at a clear space. Something will come out, just read the labels to figure out what is what. There's almost a limitless supploy of things in here, spread out amongst you in equal quantity. Now, there's a door to my right. Just step through it, and enjoy the ride." The man sat down, annoyed at the group taking up his time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aya grabbed one of the backpacks, slinging it onto her back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Saber waited for her Master, backpack held in one hand, prepared to go when he went.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pepsi walked by everyone not in the group, even the man in charge, unoticed. There wasn't a back pack for her, or at least, not enough to supply the entire group, then her. So she decided to just take one anyway. Someone would have to do without.
Lia took it and nodded, in thanks, to Malachi before opening it. Being a Quarian, and always the curious one, she quickly rifled through the contents to get an idea of what she would be carrying with her. Once she had had a quick glance through, she quickly closed the sack again and slid her arms into the openings between the straps and the actual pack before glancing through the gate. Not sure what was on the otherside, but if the backpack was any indication, there was some forested area. Deciding she had wasted enough time, the Quarian stepped forward and through the gate. Lia saw a blue flash and could hear this strange sound, kind of like a grating before it went silent and she opened her eyes to find herself standing on a hill
The forest before Lia was a vast wonder of colors, green, brown, red, and yellow all decorated it. About a mile out she could make out a road of sorts, unpaved like the ones she had seen. She would patiently wait for all the others to pass through as she listened to the sound of the wind rustling the leaves and the sounds of birds.
Malachi watched as lia dissapeared through the door in an instant. "Oh praise be to yog sothoth the opener of ways, may he open a portal to Lia. And may great Nyarlathotep guide herself and me safely through to our destination." He prayed to himelf. He pulled up his hood and covered his face in his cowl, he loaded the chambers of his magnum before placing it back int its holster. He walked through the portal, and in a second he was outside on a hill, the landscape was beautiful, and he saw Lia standing in the midst of it, He smiled at her and felt himself blush. He walked up to her. "Well we made it." He chuckled.
Lia stared at the forest for a short time longer, "It's beautiful, don't you think? I almost never see anything like this where I come from, and yet all these others, they take it for granted." She turned around to look at Malachi and asked, "The others coming through?"
Hurrst watched as the Spartan and blonde government agent from a universe infested with the undead stepped towards the glowing glowy thing that was the magical portal the strange man had spoken of, the Spartan putting on the backpack over his bulky armor. The backpack seeming almost child-sized compared to the Lone Wolf's armored frame, plus the woodland camoflague contrasted horribly with the slate-gray armor.
"Uh, their's no bag here for me," Leon said, glancing over his shoulder at Agent Hurrst, figuring the asshole had something to do with this current scenario.
Instead, Hurrst stepped forward with a duffel bag, the Spartan slipping through the portal without a word behind the blonde agent. Hurrst stopped a few feet in front of Kennedy and dropped the bag to the floor with a resounding thud, he merely sized Leon up before saying, "Few goodies for you, my kids would have my head if they knew I let you get yourself killed. 'sides, if you wind up dead it'll look bad on my annual review, can't have that."
Leon smirked, "No, I guess we can't."
