Still under her cloak, Nova weaved her way through a throng of people as they fled the square, the noises of panic and barked out orders geting closer with any step.

Rounding a corner heading into the square proper, she decloaked and stopped behind several of the unknowns, two of which she recognised from her "recon" earlier. She stared at what the others were looking at and her stomach twisted in a knot.

"What. Is. That?" she sputtered in disbelief as they stared up at the Super Mutant Behemoth.

"Uhh... pertaining to this situation? I can consistently hit targets with my R91 at 900 meters, I know Energy Weapons like the back of my hand. I'm an artist with high explosives, there isn't a computer terminal or lock in the Capital Wasteland that can stop me, I am cross trained in Field Medicine, I'm highly trained in all unarmed and armed CQC techniques, and I can put a Navy SEAL to shame in sneaking around." Andrew quickly shot off, following Johanne. He left out his ingenuity when it came to machines, and how many deals he often got in the Capital Wasteland from his 'barter' skill. And all the sticky situations he'd gotten out of in his time.

"That'll do. Make sure you don't get killed, alright?" She continued on, they were close now. She could hear the screams, the destruction. She could smell- no taste -the blood in the air. This place had become hell, if not for a few minutes.

"Please, like a single Behemoth could kill the Lone Wanderer." Andrew remarked dryly, knowing full well that this was no joke. He'd seen Behemoths rip entire buses apart. And this one was massive. The Brotherhood Knight kept pace with Johanne, despite his armor. Moving nimbly through the urban enviroment. Having much experience from D.C., the Pitt, and faux memories of Shanghai.

Andrew heard the screams of terror nearby, sounds he was used to. They rounded the corner, revealing the towering monster. The Lone Wanderer gave a critical whistle, holding his R91 by it's grip. "Whew... hell if I wouldn't want the Lyons Pride backing me up right now..." he mumbled to himself.

Glancing at the Behemoth towering over the civilians within the city, Nova came up with a rather hasty and improvised plan to draw the beast away from the civilians - her lethal psionic abilities were practically infeasable within a civilian thick environment, so she needed to draw that thing away.

Checking the magazine for her rifle and cloaking once again, she scrambled up a nearby fire escape and, after ascending about three levels, kneeled by the stair railing, zoomed in on the Behemoth's skull and fired...

Andrew spotted several rounds slapping into the head of the Behemoth, but not really doing much. He attempted to trace the rounds, but the shooter wasn't very visible to him at that moment.

He stepped off to the side, raising his R91 and firing at the thing. Moving over to a nearby building and slamming his foot into the door. Knocking it off it's hinges and forcing it to the ground with a loud bang.

It had all happened pretty damn quick, from Collins perspective.

First, meet and greet an alien. Now, Collins didn't know much about Leon, but the idea of an alien on Earth.

"What the fuck?" he spoke aloud. He had always believed in aliens, but seeing one was something completely different. He was shocked. And she had solid proof of her alien heritage as well.

She was peaceful, and the idea of not-dying drew him from his shocked state of mind to some degree.

"Leon, holy shit!" he turned to Leon. "Holy shit! Holy shit! She's an alien, Leon! An alien! Do you know what this means? Her mere existence proves about a dozen extraterrestrial theories, of nothing else! Jesus, look at her technology!!! Imagine what kind of secrets she knows the answers to? She could be the key to traveling in space! She could be... she could be..." his talk ceased to have meaning there, becoming little more than filler.

Second, Leon's leather jacket...

Collins was cut off by the uproarious sounds of destruction.

He grew pale as he said, "Oh motherfucker." he turned to the Quarian. "Was this your fault?" He quickly, logically reviewed what he knew about this alien, their identical situations. "Probably not," he revised before saying, "Terrorists maybe?" He thought chain grew longer, longer, and longer. Each successive thought was worse than the one before. He thought of
(Isabella?)
how the trio might get hurt, the thousand ways they could die- none of them painless.

Leon handed him his jacket, and he donned it- it was the simplest way to carry it, anyway. It left him with two free hands. It was a bit too big for him, but he would deal with it.

Third, meet the monster.

"OhJuh-Jesus," he quickly stuttered when he saw the behemoth before him.

"Fuck being a hero!" He said as he dived back into the cold, hard, and safe alley once more. It seemed the right thing to do on all counts- survive, be less of a liability, survive. Not die. Most of his arguments for his actions revolved around that general idea- survival.

He heard some slightly disturbing and very much frightening noises coming from the street outside. Rubble and pieces of asphalt rained down over the building- scaring the hell out of him- as bangs and whooshes fled to his ears. A nasty smell made it to him while the taste of his own blood stained his tongue- he'd bitten down a bit harder then he'd thought at first.

He stayed crouched against an alley wall, waiting for the slightest sign to run away further. Hey, he wanted to be here if the alien and the cool guy survived.

So it had begun. She had doubts guns would do much against such a being, and there were no other viable weapons around. She had her sword, but something that big... that was pushing it, big time. There was no way she could ever hope to take this thing down by brute force. Most of the civilians had already left, a few trampled. Maybe a dozen dead, even higher most likely.

This enemy was truly something else, something at this scale; she hadn't faced for maybe a century, or more? It didn't matter, The question was, did she release her full power, making her vulnerable, or did she stay in her base state, and have her healing factor? Her abilities with familiars were far lesser whilst in this state. She would need her full power to fight such a powerful being, though.

She had noticed that her ally had moved for a door. Whatever this thing was, it hadn't noticed her just yet. They key word was her. Wherever the first volley of shots had come from, that was where it was headed.

She hadn't much time. To use the powers that were so opposite of her, or to try and fight with weapons of the humans? A gun was a gun, after all. But, sometimes, a mere gun was not enough. There were so many tactical repercussions for each choice, all unsettling, most bad, few plausible, and none good.

Blood was the life; as blood was the currency of the soul. As a vampire, one who dealt in it, she would know more than any other being to exist. The soul, just like a mirror, was a reflection; a portal. Nothing more than a proxy of something else...

Johanne would have to be careful. An odd human here and there were running about, and she could hear more sirens headed this way, as well as the distinct sound of a helicopter. War was coming, war was coming. It would end soon for this monster; it could only survive for so long. And though the humans could try, it would ultimately be futile, in a sense.

So much collateral damage, so much death... It was worth it, yes, it was. But there were better ends that could be achieved by worse ends. She had a feeling this would get bad, very, very fast. So, the war of roses had begun. How trivial. How interesting.

Johanne brought the Wildey out of its hiding spot, ready to begin. It was go time, the beginning of the end for one, and something new to the other.

Leon just stood their stunned, well, momentarily stunned, this thing was massive. He'd fought El Gigante, but those were like fifty feet tall or something, this thing was close to three hundred he guessed. He'd have to hope the same principles worked on whatever the hell this thing was, though his Silver Ghost and combat knife would be a little underpar for such a situation. He ignored the cold wind whipping at his bare arms, his tee shirt being vaguely insulating, but merely continued to jog his way through the swarms of fleeing civilians, the thing was in Times Square...or close, he couldn't tell from this distance. And it'd take too long to travel on foot, so they'd need transport. The blue and white livery of an NYC squad car stood out among the bleak concrete buildings and gloomy sky.

The Agent whipped the door open, threw himself into the driver's seat, and started up the engine, the Crown Vic purring like a cat rubbing it's master's leg. Leon glanced around the front seat as he buckled his seatbelt, a laptop was mounted on the dashboard, a few spare magazines of 9mm hidden in the glove box, Leon pocketed those as well, but the true prize was the Remington 870 pump-action shotgun mounted alongside the small laptop.

The Crown Vic shot forward, accelerating before he slammed on the brake and cranked the wheel, causing the front of the car to spin 360 degrees as he sped back to the alley where he'd left the alien and that Collins kid. The Squad Car came to a halt in front of Lia, who was still standing awestruck on the side walk, Kennedy kicked the door open and said, "Get in."

Lia stared at the abomination of a creature destroying the city, not noticing Leon's disappearance. The door almost hitting her as it swung open brought her back to reality. She stood dumbfounded for a moment before she blinked her eyes and climbed inside the vehicle, gripping the door and pulling it shut. She turned to Leon, "What do you plan to do?"

Once Lia was fully inside the vehicle, Leon floored it. But honestly, her question rang true, what was his plan? He wasn't going to lie to himself, he didn't have a plan, he didn't have a plan in Spain and he didn't have a plan in Racoon. He seemingly never really thought things through unless they were right in his face. Like this 200-foot tall monster.

"Uh, I haven't really got that far. I'll figure it out when I get there," he replied honestly, only giving her a sideward glance, considering he was going seventy miles per hour on the wrong side of a busy New York street anything longer than said glance might have put them in a casket.

Lia hadn't the slightest clue what to do either. Something that large may very well be bullet proof, and their was no way they could take it off its feet, at least not without time and coordination. She was stumped, "I hope you can come up with something then. I haven't got the slightest clue."

Andrew double timed it up the stairs of the building he was in, traveling up several stories without a pause for breath. Soon, he was on a floor that was ten feet higher than the Behemoth outside. He'd fought these things before, but never like this. Hell, he remembered the first time he fought one of these things.

The Lone Wanderer ran through a hall with several doors, choosing one at random; blowing it off it's hinges with his M199. Inside was a simple apartment, with a window and a balcony. Andrew put two rounds into the glass, which shattered. Allowing him access to the balcony.

The Knight stepped out into the snowy night. The Behemoth moving down the street, just a few feet below him. However, the Lone Wanderer was at least two hundred feet up, if not more.

Andrew secured his M199 onto his back, making sure it wasn't going anywhere. His heart was thudding, it felt like it was about to explode out his chest. He was scared shitless, and he wasn't going to lie about it.

The Lone Wanderer stepped up onto the railing of the balcony, being extremely careful. He then crossed himself, praying to whatever being existed that this would work out. His mother had been catholic, and it'd rubbed off on Andrew slightly. What little image was there had been pretty shattered by the Capital Wasteland, but he still grasped onto it for comfort.

Andrew looked down at the Behemoth, the muscles in his legs were tense. He silently mouthed the word three... two... one! before leaping off the balcony.

Nova almost gaped in shock as a plummeting Andrews droped past her perch towards the street below. However, that wasn't her primary concern; it was the .... behemoth sprinting towards both herself and the others.

"Well, that got it's attention." she muttered to herself as she switched out her magazine for sniper-rifle grade ammunition and deactivated her cloak.

Preparing to terminate.

Noble Six took a knee behind a bus stop enclosure, the Spartan peered around the side of the advertisment coated walls, pictures of Master Chief adnoring all four sides. That fact was bothering the Spartan to a degree, but he'd deal with that later. Whoever these people were, where ever in time or space he was, he'd sworn to protect them, he'd sworn to protect Earth. And this was Earth...maybe not the Earth he'd left behind, but Earth no the less.

The Spartan took a deep breath, and rounded the enclosure, MA37 coming up in one swift smooth motion.

~

The Crown Victoria driven by the Government Agent with an extra terrestrial in the passenger seat, quite possibly the strangest team-up of all time, rounded the corner before Leon pulled it to a stop on the curb. "Looks like this is our stop," he quipped, snatching the shotgun up before bailing out of the vehicle. He quickly slide out of sight behind a lamp post as he checked over the Remington.

It had a full tube of 12 gauge buck, a side saddle holding eight extra shells, ghost ring combat sights and a combat pistol grip, Leon was impressed, he didn't think NYPD would have been so well-equipped, but he'd been through worst with lesser equipment. It just so happened the enemies were a lot smaller before.

"Aim for the eyes. We need to get civilians out, or stall it until then. Too much collateral damage." The girl looked towards this girl next to her, not noticing Andrew as she wasn't looking at him. Had she been looking at him... They would have to go for they eyes, and try to slow it down. No way had they any weapons that could fight this thing at the moment. Her sword could probably hurt it, though she doubted she could do much. To this thing, while her sword was sharp, it was more like a pin drop. Not going to end well at the current outlook of things. She'd have to hold out until she, or someone else thought of something. It didn't help the fact that multiple News Copters were now circling overhead, just out of the monsters reach. No point in it now, they were National News, probably world news. She brought her Wildey up to bare, firing off a test shot, aimed at its exposed eyes.

Activating the laser sight on the underside of her rife (which would normally be used to designate targets for nukes), Nova lined up a shot, her finger beginning to tighten on the trigger.

"Come on, come on, come on..." she muttered to herself in frustration as she kept the scope on the mutant's eyes/

Andrew felt the wind blow past through the small cracks in his armor. It reminded him of Airborn Drops in Alaska. That mission hadn't gone so well in casualty ratio.

There was a loud 'crack!' as Andrew connected with the Behemoth's bald skull, chest first. It knocked the wind out of him, and pain shot up his ribs. He'd probably bruised them. The Lone Wanderer stopped breathing, as the expansion of his chest would no doubt cause considerable pain. But he couldn't take a moment to collect himself, as the moment he landed he began to skid down the slick skin of the massive Super Mutant.

Andrew slipped down the back of the things skull, blindedly grasping for something - anything to stop his fall. Nothing. Soon he was at the top of the neck, still approaching certain doom.

But there, Andrew felt something come in contact with the bottom of his hand. He managed to react in time to wrap his fingers around it. Turned out the Behemoth had been wearing a telephone wire around it's neck, with several human skulls attached. It pulled back, tightening around the Mutant's neck. Not nearly enough to cut off it's oxygen supply, though. Andrew felt a jolt slam through his body as his suddenly stopped, and he was already losing his grip. The Lone Wanderer took a gulp of air, feeling a sharp pain run through his torso.

The Brotherhood of Steel Knight pushed the pain aside, reaching for a piece of metal attached to his suit. He detached it, holding the thing like a knife. Andrew pressed a button, and the familiar revving of a chainsaw sounded from the machine as small, metal teeth began to run around the 'blade'.

The Lone Wanderer rammed the Ripper into the base of the Behemoth's neck. The flesh resisted, but soon gave way to the Military-Grade Weapon. Sawing to hilt-deep, blood and gore splattering from the wound. Spraying all over Andrew's upper chest and helmet, giving him a red, waxy view of the world through his visor.

Lia fumbled trying to figure out how to open the door before she finally managed to get the door open. Outside, she drew her rifle again. She only had one block of ammo and she had to make it last. Things didn't look so well for her ammo on this mission. She moved around the car in an attempt to cut into one of the buildings to give her a better vantage. Quickly, Lia made her way up the stairwell, reaching the roof withing a couple of minutes.

The large yellow abomination looked quite horrible. That didn't stop her from noticing the people on the next roof over. Ignoring them for now though, she took an experimental shot, the mass accelerator round doing no damage to the beast.

"Shit, that isn't going to work." She stopped in thought and then, too herself said, "I wonder..." trailing off as she raised the rifle again. She fired a small burst at the thing's eye.

Johanne released control level four, summoning her sword sheath less. It hanged at her side, sheath less, a naked sword. She would have to use this weapon in battle again, something she hadn't done in ages. But her gun wasn't enough, and this sword, this special sword, it may help. It was just as limited as her, and was only a "Negative" of the real sword. It was bound to her, and unless she was free, it could not be free either.

She initiated a low level collapse, fading from existence next to her unknown comrade, Nova. Johanne reappeared next to Andrew, standing verticaly as if she was on the ground. Her gravity defiant abilities were working full swing, it would seem. She held her holy sword at her side, and looked toward Andrew, blood gushing out of the wound as he stabbed into it with some sort of hand held chainsaw.

"Go for area between the spine and skull, at the direct neck. It'll draw more blood, and may sever the spine its self." She looked towards him, a calm, neutral, and serious face. She wasn’t betraying any emotion, if she even had any at the moment. One could say she was a true monster in such moments… or maybe just trying to be the best in combat. Maybe she had duty, maybe a promise to keep. No matter what it was, she had a job to do; and she was gunna see it through to the end. And her job was…a hard one, to say the least.

"What the fu..." Andrew shot a glance at Johanne, who was... floating. He pushed it aside, getting back on task. Ripping the Ripper out of the Behemoth's back with a loud grinding sound. Bits and chunks of bloody meat splattering off the bloodied metal teeth of the chainsaw blade. Andrew whipped the Ripper back, loosening his grip. Allowing it's top-heavy momentum to twist it into a reverse-grip hold, where the Knight tightened his grip once more.

The Lone Wanderer rammed the the Ripper back into the Behemoth's back once more, hitting perfectly between it's shoulderblades and neck. The gore practically exploded outward over his armor.

But this time the Behemoth roared in frustration, reaching over it's shoulder and grabbing ahold of Andrew like a pesky bug. Throwing the Knight across the street, towards a random Projects building. It it's fit of rage, the Behemoth smashed a heavy foot into a car that had been abandoned in the street. Sending the vehical several dozen feet across the road, smashing into a China Shop. Shattering everything inside.

Andrew smashed into a plate glass window like a bullet. Completely shattering it and continuing deeper into the musty room like a cannon ball. He smashed into the wall at the other end of the room. The drywall caved in, and Andrew cracked the wooden posts on the other side like toothpicks; breaking out of the otherside and into a hallway. Smashing into the opposite wall, cracking the drywall and bouncing off. Hitting the ground, his quick and painful journey coming to a stop.

Nova winced to herself as she noted that Andrews' attack on the Behemoth failed, resulting in the young man to be literally hurled through a window. It was clear that this beast, left unchecked, could cause irreperable damage - she needed to draw it away from the other civilians and try and bring it down.

Fuming, she stowed her rifle and vaulted over the railing, the two story drop forcing her to roll as she hit the ground. With her body acheing in agony, she unlimbered her rifle and whistled to the Behemoth.

"Over here!" she taunted, firing several rounds at the beast's chest for good measure before taking off, trying to draw the creature away from the city.

Leon looked up from oogling his new-found shotgun to find a car flying at his face, luckily, his reaction times were up to par and he simply ducked the flying vehicle as it smashed through the innocent china shop behind him, the Agent glanced over his shoulder as all badass men do when confronted with flying vehicles, looked at the car that had almost taken his head off, and then returned to watching the odd floating man? He wasn't sure how she was defying gravity...but he'd already seen some pretty insane things to the point that giving Sir Issac Newton the finger was rather tame compared to everything else.

Oh, and his alien sidekick had ran off. Just his luck.

Johanne relocated herself off the monsters back, reappearing behind the wall that was still intact- and Andrew was against- and phased her head and one arm through, her sword arm not on Andrews side of the wall. She looked down on him, her blonde hair not defying gravity as it had before. Interestingly, the hand that had went through now had a plate mail gauntlet on it, instead of a brown glove.

Andrew coughed and sputtered, feeling several cracked ribs along his side. He pushed the pain out of his mind, he'd weathered much worse before.

The Knight rolled over slightly, quelling the shock of seeing half a human body sticking out from the wall. It was Johanne. By now Andrew had pretty much decided that things were not what they seemed, but those were questions for later. The lady held out one mail-plated hand. It reminded Andrew of his own T-45D Power Armor's Gauntlet. The Lone Wanderer stared at the hand for a moment, before reaching up and grasping it firmly.

The Super Mutant Behemoth turned as Nova called for it's attention. The beast roared with pent up anger and agression that could only form in a species as violent as itself. It swung an arm at a nearby building, shearing off three floors in the middle. Spraying debris all over the street as it stomped towards Nova. Crushing cars and people that were too slow.
